System analysis of the course information to support the evaluation of Outcome-based education (OBE)
Abstract
The data analysis system supports the evaluation of educational management with an emphasis on results in an outcome-oriented format (OBE). It works through a Web application system that has 4 main components: 1) a database system, including sub-components; 1.1) Course Teacher information Student, 1.2) Educational quality assurance information such as teacher information, student information, research information, and academic performance data, 2) Outcome-focused education, there are following sub-components; 2.1) Data on course preparation, 2.2) Course data analysis by BI, and 2.3) Course evaluation performance, 3) The competency assessment reporting system (Dashboard) has the following sub-components; 3.1) Analysis results report 3.2) Educational quality assurance report, and 4. Quality assurance system.
The results of the need assessment on the system from 30 respondents, consisting of 1) 5 teachers, 2) 15 Courses, and 3) 10 students found that the scores were at the highest level ( = 4.31) overall When considering by area of needs, including system needs, environment needs and expected outcomes, the scores were in a high level, which they were = 4.26,= 4.36, and =4.26, respectively. Moreover, the needs are in accordance with each other.
